Job Summary
Conduct high-quality EEGs, including routine, video, awake, and asleep studies, while independently calibrating instruments to proper technical standards. Perform cerebral silence and photic stimulation tests in accordance with ACNS Guidelines and Medical Director protocols. Communicate with physicians regarding test availability and patient condition changes, and recognize/respond to life-threatening situations. Teach and direct staff and students as required, while maintaining equipment and assisting with remote monitoring setups. Take calls on a rotating basis and provide insights for improving staff morale and quality control.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification/Registration by ABRET or other accrediting body in Neurodiagnostic field
- BLS certification

- Completion of a formal Neurodiagnostic program
- Neurodiagnostic experience
- Detail-oriented
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to scan, correlate, and clip study information
- Knowledgeable in and able to perform all applicable processes of the position
- Understands how to interpret EEGs, identifies the different types of seizures, and documents this information in the recording when the patient is having an event
- Ability to maintain a high skill level of knowledge of EEG through ongoing education and information sharing
