Job Summary
Assess and monitor patients' mental health status, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Develop, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams. Administer prescribed medications accurately, observe effects, and report adverse reactions. Provide emotional support and counselling, document progress and incidents per organisational policies, and promote safety through safeguarding and infection control protocols. Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and coping strategies. Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous professional development. This role supports adults with complex needs including trauma, personality disorders, and psychosis within the South East England community. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, be drivers, and hold relevant RMN registration.
Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in patient care within a mental health setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to mental health nursing practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate approach with a genuine desire to support individuals through their recovery journey
- Organised with attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
- Relevant qualifications and registration as a Mental Health Nurse
