Job Summary
Assist providers with clinical procedures including taking vital signs, wound care, administering injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, and performing EKGs. Prepare and clean exam rooms, manage patient intake through phone triage and documentation, and support administrative duties such as scheduling, insurance verification, and supply requisitioning. Perform patient education on medications and diets while maintaining organized logs and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Requires Registered Medical Assistant certification, BCLS, and 0-1 years of experience. Full-time role with competitive pay and 401(k) match available in Laredo.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
- Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service
- Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking skills for analyzing and resolving clinical and administrative challenges
- Ability to perform care according to age-specific competencies
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)-American Medical Technologists
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S. for an employer
