Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care (Consultant)
RemoteUnited Kingdom
Job Summary
Review product plans, designs, and early builds during regular video sessions to identify practical gaps in care workflows, rostering, and compliance processes. Walk the team through day-to-day operations including care planning, safeguarding, and commissioning reporting to ensure features survive real-world service contact. Sanity-check priorities to determine what genuinely saves manager time versus what is merely theoretical. Provide occasional ad hoc guidance via email or WhatsApp between scheduled sessions. This consultancy role allows a current or recent CQC Registered Manager to shape software for domiciliary care providers while maintaining their existing service responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Held a CQC Registered Manager post in domiciliary care / home care in England (current, or within roughly the last 6 months)
- Managed a service through at least one CQC inspection — ideally rated Good or Outstanding under your management
- Hands-on experience of local authority and/or ICB-commissioned care (frameworks, spot and block contracts, ECM/call monitoring)
- Experience using Care Management Software (e.g Birdie, CarePlanner, OneTouch etc)
Desired Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience of growing a service, mobilising new contracts, or working across multiple locations
- Experience choosing or implementing care management software (as a buyer/user — you don't need to be technical)
- Involvement in a Skills for Care registered manager network or local care association
