Job Summary
Registered Manager sought to lead a 4-bed children’s home in Manchester, delivering child-centred care, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing care plans, and managing a team to achieve outstanding outcomes. Responsibilities include leadership and development of the home, compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, building relationships with external agencies and families, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a culture of excellence. Benefits include a base salary of £53,000 (up to £60,800 with bonuses), performance bonuses, travel allowance or company car, generous annual leave, pension, and ongoing training. Requirements include 2–3 years’ management experience in a children’s residential setting, safeguarding knowledge, and flexible working hours (evenings/weekends). Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
- NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, the Children’s Act 1989, and Care Standards Act 2000
