Job Summary
Perform all breast imaging and DEXA procedures, including screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA scans, according to established protocols and ARRT guidelines. Operate breast imaging equipment to achieve desired results while applying radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff. Correlate patient clinical histories with procedures, obtain informed consent, and provide patient education and discharge instructions. Assist radiologists in invasive breast procedures ensuring aseptic technique, and participate in department quality assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology
- 1 year experience as a registered mammography technologist
