Job Summary
Assess and prioritize referrals to determine treatment eligibility, then perform and document general fitness, functional, and cognitive assessments for residents. Develop and facilitate tailored exercise programs while conducting pre- and post-program performance evaluations. Facilitate education sessions on lift and transfer mechanics and actively engage residents in setting rehabilitation goals. Collaborate with physiotherapists to refer complex cases and participate in clinical huddles to communicate care plans within the interdisciplinary team. Prepare quarterly reports and monitor daily statistical data for Ministry of Health submission. This Registered Kinesiologist role supports a Long Term Care client in Thunder Bay, Ontario, requiring 37.5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Kinesiologist (Recognized member with the Ontario Kinesiology Association) and in good standing
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to communicate well with the elderly, Physiotherapists/Healthcare Professionals, and teammates
- Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Valid TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray
- COVID Vaccination (3 Doses)
- Resident of THUNDER BAY
