Registered Early Childhood Educator

Plan, implement, and review children's early learning experiences by providing supervision and guidance in a balance of active and quiet, indoor and outdoor, and individual and group activities. Develop learning experiences that promote problem solving, independence, and positive self-esteem while assessing developmental levels and collaborating with outside agencies. Use diverse teaching techniques including modeling, observing, questioning, and demonstrating to foster mastery of skills. Document children's activities through photos, displays, portfolios, and videos, and ensure classroom equipment and play areas are sanitized regularly. Work collaboratively with staff and promote the Centre's programs via the Parent Advisory Committee and engagement activities. Adhere to Wasauksing First Nation policies and external agency procedures, perform related duties as requested, and provide a vulnerable sector check to protect children, youth, and vulnerable persons.
