Registered Dietitian (RDN)

Assist clinical personnel on special nutritional needs, plan dietary interventions, and conduct nutrition assessments within 72 hours of physician orders. Monitor and document nutritional goals, interpret prescription diets, and establish therapeutic menus while adhering to food safety and infection control standards. Instruct food service staff on medical diet preparation and provide dietary counseling for patients with diabetes, renal, or acute illnesses. Participate in nutrition committees, maintain security and safety policies, and prepare monthly dietary service status reports. Work Monday through Friday at the Soledad correctional facility under the direction of the Institution's designee.
