Job Summary
Assist clinical personnel on special nutritional needs, plan dietary interventions, and establish therapeutic menus for correctional facilities. Conduct nutrition assessments within 72 hours of physician orders, interpret prescription diets, and provide counseling for patients with diabetes, renal, or acute illnesses. Monitor the dietary service program to ensure compliance with California Code of Regulations, prepare monthly status reports, and train food service staff on medical diet preparation. Maintain security policies, universal safety precautions, and professional relationships between food services and healthcare teams. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 5:30pm at a Delano, CA facility as an independent contractor.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid registration issued by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in order to perform services in the State of California
- 40 Hours per week
- Location: Delano, CA
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm
- (Orientation 1 week)
- Status: Independent Contractor (1099)
