Registered Dietitian (RDN)

Conduct nutrition assessments, plan therapeutic diets, and provide counseling for patients with conditions such as diabetes, renal disease, and HIV within 72 hours of physician orders. Assist clinical personnel on special nutritional needs, interpret prescription diets, and establish menus for food production personnel. Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, committees on nutrition and bioethics, and train facility staff on medical diet preparation. Monitor the dietary service program to ensure compliance with California Code of Regulations and prepare monthly status reports. Maintain security policies, universal safety precautions, and professional relationships between food services, healthcare, and custodial staff.
