Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, review therapeutic diet orders, and monitor residents' nutritional status while documenting interventions in the EMR. Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents and families, evaluate meal service satisfaction, and assist with dining transitions. Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and culinary leadership to optimize outcomes, support seasonal menu development, and maintain regulatory compliance. Partner with the interdisciplinary team to implement infection prevention initiatives and lead nutrition-related staff training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
- Must be a registered/licensed Dietitian and maintain licensure
- Must possess concern, responsiveness, and tact when dealing with colleagues, residents, and their families
- Must be able to work collaboratively with others to help colleagues to achieve respective goals for creating wellness opportunities and experiences for our residents
- Must have completed or be willing to complete educational requirements imposed by State regulations within the specified time-frame
- Must present self in a professional manner
Desired Qualifications
- Masters preferred
- Minimum five years of experience in a healthcare environment
- Ability to organize, supervise, delegate and provide leadership
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
