Job Summary
Registered Dietitian (RD) at Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing: assess residents' nutritional status, monitor plans, provide recommendations to medical staff, develop diet plans, coordinate nutrition support with vendors and department heads, ensure diet modifications are followed, educate residents, families, and staff on nutrition concepts, evaluate diet care plans for effectiveness, meet with the interdisciplinary team weekly, collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologist for dysphagia diets, review menu changes for policy/guideline compliance, update diet orders and menus in EMR/menu software daily, supervise the dietary team, conduct routine nutrition quality audits, ensure compliance with weight-monitoring regulations, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Dietitian
- Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines
- Computer literacy and proficiency with EMR software and computer-based menu systems
