Job Summary
Registered Dietitian (RD) for Cooperstown Center in Cooperstown, NY. Responsible for assessing and monitoring residents’ nutritional status, recommending care plans to medical staff, coordinating nutrition support with vendors and department heads, ensuring dietary modifications are followed, educating residents and staff on nutrition concepts, evaluating care plan effectiveness, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and Speech-Language Pathologist for dysphagia diets, reviewing menu changes for policy and guideline compliance, updating diet orders in electronic systems, supervising dietary staff, and conducting routine audits to ensure high-quality nutrition care, while maintaining regulatory compliance and clear daily communication with the interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Dietitian
- Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines
- Computer literacy and proficiency with EMR software and computer-based menu systems
