Job Summary
Assess the nutritional care of each resident in the center by advising the clinical team, dietary department, and Administration on nutritional status, lab value interpretation, intake, consumption patterns, food/drug interactions, therapeutic diets, and overall customer satisfaction. Ensure optimal nutrition for residents while maintaining high standards of care. Requires a Registered Dietitian License, 3-5 years of experience in acute or long-term care, and excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and the aging process. Part-time schedule with competitive wages based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian License
- 3-5 years' experience in an acute or long-term care environment
- Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local) as they pertain to the dietary field, including interpretation and implementation
- Excellent knowledge of the aging process and the physical, psychosocial, and social needs of the long-term care resident population with regard to nutrition
