Job Summary
Direct patient care nutrition by ensuring nutritional needs are met per practitioner orders, developing therapeutic menus, and providing dietary counseling. Conduct regular unannounced inspections of hospital and caterer kitchens to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations regarding meal service, storage, and sanitation. Collaborate with medical, nursing, and pharmacy services while maintaining pertinent patient data to modify diets as needed. Participate in survey inspections and adhere to food service policies and training guidelines. Work independently to meet established deadlines while demonstrating the hospital's mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- LD status
- 2 years hospital dietician or nutritionist experience
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50)+ pounds
- Stooping, kneeling and/or crouching daily
- Standing and walking more than five (5) hours per day
- Running occasionally in response to emergencies
- Hepatitis B immunity (titer) or three doses Hep B vaccine
- Current seasonal flu vaccine
- Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination
- Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine
- Documented proof of immunization for Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap)
- Documentation of a two-step TB skin test within the past year OR lab verification of a negative TB Gold or T-Spot tuberculin test within the past 6 months
- ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS
