Job Summary
Conduct thorough nutritional assessments within 48 hours, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide outpatient counseling for patients with eating disorders. Facilitate nutrition groups, therapeutic meals, and experiential activities while preparing and serving patient meals according to specific dietary needs. Oversee culinary services, manage pantry inventory using FIFO methods, and coordinate challenge meals with outside resources. Provide supervision to dietary interns and ensure continuity of care by communicating with outpatient providers. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and group processes while adhering to TJC, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
- Active Nebraska dietitian license
- CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to effectively maneuver within an office scheduling system
- Minimum of beginner skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook and Zoom
- Ability to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system
- Ability to lift/carry up to 10 pounds occasionally
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds rarely
- Ability to push up to 50 pounds occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Experience treating eating disorders and co-occurring conditions
- Experience working individually and in groups, preferably with eating disordered clients
- Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis
- Good oral and written communication skills
