Job Summary
Develop, implement, and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapies while performing nutritional assessments and re-assessments to identify goals and evaluate patient progress. Collaborate with medical staff, patients, families, and the food service department to ensure care plans are implemented and standards are maintained. Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition regimens, clarify admission orders against facility formulary, and consider cultural factors in care plans. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, develop menus, and perform meal rounds to verify tray consistency. Review and approve the therapeutic diet manual annually, evaluate food/drug interactions, and maintain current professional registration. Work per diem shifts (8AM-4PM, including weekends) with a requirement of six shifts per six-week schedule, three of which must be on weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure/certification, if required by state
- Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration
- One (1) year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent
- Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule
- Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's)
