Job Summary
Screen patients for nutritional needs through initial and re-assessments, then develop and implement individualized nutritional care plans that account for religious, cultural, and ethical factors. Provide nutrition counseling, education, and therapeutic diet calculations while evaluating potential food, drug, and supplement interactions. Communicate these plans with the interdisciplinary care team and attend assigned meetings such as wound or dysphagia rounds to support patient care development. Create educational programs for patients and staff to set achievable goals. Maintain current licensure, Commission on Dietetics registration, and continuing education to stay updated on nutritional practices. This per diem role at Banner Rehabilitation Hospital Tucson Partnership with Select Medical offers a smooth orientation and potential advancement to full-time positions, with compensation at $40.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure/certification, if required by state.
- Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
- One (1) year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.
