Job Summary
Provide medical nutrition therapy, counseling, and education in the outpatient setting, including diabetes education, weight management, and care for various diseases. Utilize skills in nutrition assessment, diet modification, and education across populations. Must document care in the EMR, communicate effectively with care teams, and possibly conduct group classes. Requires a Master’s Degree or relevant B.S. with internship, state licensure, and registration with a credentialing agency.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (if credentialed after 2024-required)
- B.S in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or related sciences with completion from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved Internship or Coordinated Undergraduate Program
- Competent in all skills of nutrition
- Basic computer skills, preferably Microsoft
- Interpersonal skills to handle confidential information and work with diverse groups
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years clinical experience
- Previous experience working with EPIC(EMR)
