Job Summary
Provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to patients of varying acuity levels, including management of enteral nutrition initiation and advancement, at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. Serve as the patient’s nutrition advocate and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support nutrition care for patients screened at or identified with nutrition risk. Role supports flexible scheduling (15% FTE) with days, on-site at UW Health, and opportunities for work-life balance. The position emphasizes professional competency, ongoing education, and contributing to pediatric nutrition care in a Magnet-designated facility with a strong commitment to belonging and equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- State licensure as required by Wisconsin
- Illinois Licensed Dietetic Nutritionist credential for interstate practice in ambulatory setting within 3 months of employment
- CPR certification (maintain)
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nutrition or related field
- Preferred: Certified specialist as required for the position or ability to complete within two years of employment
- Minimum: One (1) year of clinical and nutrition related experience
- Preferred: Two (2) years of clinical and nutrition related experience
