Job Summary
Develop and implement food service procedures while monitoring quality assurance programs for the department. Review residents' dietary requirements and restrictions, then assist in creating individualized nutrition care plans based on clinical needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align nutrition care with treatment goals and support the discharge planning coordinator with nutrition components. Monitor resident nutritional status and recommend adjustments to diet plans as needed. Review corrective action plans for food service deficiencies identified during state or federal surveys.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Strong expertise in clinical nutrition, preferably within geriatric, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare and nutritional services in skilled nursing environments
