Job Summary
Deliver individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients in the O.B. program, including subjective assessments, objective data, and plans based on provider diagnoses. Confer with medical providers, behavioral health therapists, and case managers while documenting visits in the electronic medical record. Develop and present nutrition education materials to ensure consistent messaging, and lead group classes for diabetes and other health groups. Model motivational interviewing techniques to center patient care, participate in in-service education for staff, and assist in coordinating clinic outreach programs. Engage in community health fairs and consult with external groups as directed by the Chief Medical Officer. This role requires bilingual Spanish/English proficiency and certification as a Registered Dietitian. Salary ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from the American Dietetic Association (ADA) accredited program
- National certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian
- Ability to learn and utilize effectively the electronic medical records and charting system (EPIC)
- Effective communication ability in English
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Intermediate knowledge of computers and Windows environment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fullfill immunization and fit for duty regulatory requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and move medical equipment
- Able to read charts graphs and readings on medical equipment
- Must maintain CEUs as required for certification renewals
