Job Summary
Direct nutritional care for patients on various assigned nursing units under Team Leader Inpatient Nutrition direction. Screen patients for nutritional risks, assess patient nutritional status, and provide teaching to patients and families. Obtain order writing privileges within six months of hire. This per diem role includes day shift with weekend and holiday rotation from 7:00am to 3:30pm at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, be registered with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetic, and have proof of state licensure application prior to hire. One year of experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition with an accredited program of supervised experience
- Registration by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetic
- Proof of application for state licensure from the Division of Professional Licensure
- Must obtain order writing privileges within 6 months of hire
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Must be available for weekend and holiday rotation
- Must be available for day shift
- Must be available for 7:00am - 3:30pm hours
