Job Summary
Conduct nutrition assessments and follow-ups for individuals with increased nutritional needs, documenting goals and educating patients and families on dietary requirements. Attend patient rounds to inform nursing and physicians of changes in nutritional status, while reviewing and approving menus, formularies, and substitutions. Build relationships with physicians and nursing staff to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient's nutritional needs. Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs and performance improvements within trouble areas. Full-time positions start at $65,000 annually, with part-time options at $35/hour for 24 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related field
- Knowledge of regulatory standards
- Ability to interact with individuals of all backgrounds
- Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communication
- Service-oriented mentality with a focus on exceeding expectations
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needs
- Willingness to provide support where needed to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrate integrity, respect, and discretion in all business dealings
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place
