Job Summary
Screen patients for nutrition needs, conduct initial and re-assessments, calculate therapeutic diets, and develop individualized nutrition care plans. Provide counseling on food-drug and herb-supplement interactions while addressing religious, cultural, and ethical factors. Implement these plans with the interdisciplinary team through care meetings, medical rounds, and educational programs for patients and staff. Maintain current licensure, Commission on Dietetics registration, and continuing education to stay updated on nutritional practices.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure/certification, if required by state.
- Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
- One (1) year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.
