Job Summary
Assess, develop, and direct the overall nutrition plan of care for each guest while collaborating with residents and families to participate in care plan development. Continually study emerging trends and new research in dietetics, then educate the culinary staff on pertinent topics related to human nutrition and culinary service. Maintain current registration status in Michigan and demonstrate knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, and laws governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities. This full-time role supports the EPIC team at Dimondale Nursing Care Center, located in Dimondale, MI, with a vibrant family atmosphere and limited mandating.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics)
- Current registration status in Michigan
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide nutrition services appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents
- Knowledge of dietary practices and procedures as well the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities
- Full time employment
