Job Summary
Assess and plan nutritional care for residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, coordinating with the Food Service Director/Manager to ensure compliant food service delivery. Maintain clinical nutrition documentation, ensure medical record accuracy, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and evaluate plans of care. Coordinate therapeutic menu customization, monitor food temperatures and distribution, and conduct food service area inspections. Visit new residents upon admission to obtain diet histories and food preferences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
- License or certification as mandated by the state in which employed
Desired Qualifications
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred
- Experience in long-term care environment and geriatric nutrition preferred
