Job Summary
Assess the nutritional care of each resident and advise the clinical team, dietary department, and Administration on nutritional status, including lab value interpretation, intake, consumption patterns, food/drug interactions, and therapeutic diets. Ensure optimal nutrition for residents while maintaining high standards of care. Requires a Registered Dietitian License, 3-5 years of experience in acute or long-term care, and excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and the aging process. Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian License
- 3-5 years' experience in an acute or long-term care environment
- Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local) as they pertain to the dietary field, including interpretation and implementation
- Excellent knowledge of the aging process and the physical, psychosocial, and social needs of the long-term care resident population with regard to nutrition
