Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nutritional care for residents in the facility, ensuring compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice. Offer counsel and directive to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as needed. Participate in weekly "At Risk" meetings, monitor resident weights and nutrition intake, and make recommendations regarding resident diets and supplementary needs. Requires a Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long-term care, certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N, and a valid driver's license. Full-time, 40 hours split between Plainville and Shelton, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care setting
- Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N
- Current knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care
- Effective communication skills; oral and written
- Valid driver's license with vehicle
