Job Summary
Assess and monitor residents' nutritional status, develop care plans, and evaluate special needs regarding nutrition support and weight issues. Coordinate procurement of supplements with vendors and department heads, while routinely auditing areas to ensure quality nutrition care and regulatory compliance. Educate residents, families, and staff on diet modifications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and Speech-Language Pathologist to adjust plans and provide mechanically altered diets. Review menu changes against state and federal guidelines, update order systems daily, and supervise the dietary team to ensure excellent resident care.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian
- nursing home experience
- Exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines
- Computer literacy and proficiency with EMR software and computer-based menu systems
