Job Summary
Plan menus for clients published four times weekly and prepare individual nutrition assessments within one week of arrival. Deliver nutrition education classes three times weekly and direct the head chef and cooking staff on menu planning, meal prep, and kitchen cleanliness. Provide guidance on balanced nutritional guidelines, assist in authoring recipes for client dossiers, and lead grocery store tours or restaurant outings once weekly. Assist fitness trainers with assessments and offer constructive feedback on nutrition and wellness. Requires a Registered Dietitian license and extensive nutrition knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related, equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment
- Must possess extensive knowledge of nutrition and must be able to teach those principles to others
- Functions with an awareness of patient safety issues and applies basic principles of safety as identified within the facility
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of addiction and drug treatment preferred
