Job Summary
Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling to patients with severe mental illness; conduct assessments to identify health and behavioral needs and develop individualized coaching plans; implement behavior-change strategies, address barriers, and adjust plans based on patient progress. Lead daily and weekly group activities that promote physical wellness and healthy routines. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and care teams to share updates on patient goals and progress. Participate in research initiatives by implementing therapeutic dietary protocols and collecting outcome data. This role requires 2+ years of RD experience and a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program with current CDR registration; the position is onsite at a Los Angeles, CA clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program
- Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- 2+ years of experience as a Registered Dietitian
- Strong interpersonal and team-based care skills
- Experience with multidisciplinary teams and outpatient care
- Interest in leveraging technology to improve outcomes
