Job Summary
Perform comprehensive patient nutritional assessments and reassessments by analyzing subjective and objective information to identify nutrition problems, provide recommendations, and establish goals. Review medical records, interview patients and family members, and communicate with allied health professionals to complete screens, assessments, and educations. Document findings using approved charting methods and communicate recommendations effectively to nursing, medical staff, and other disciplines. Requires current Registered Dietitian status with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics. Previous acute care experience on medical, surgical, critical care, labor and delivery, and mother baby units is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition / Dietetics
- Current Registered Dietitian status with the Commission of Dietetic Registration
- Knowledge of all regulatory and professional standards
- Exemplary communication skills
- Problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous clinical nutrition experience in an acute care setting
- Experience on the following units: medical, surgical, critical care, labor and delivery, and mother baby
