Job Summary
Assess, develop, and direct the overall nutrition plan of care for each guest while collaborating with residents and families to participate in care plan development. Continually study emerging trends and new research in dietetics to educate culinary staff on pertinent nutrition and culinary service topics. Maintain current registration in Michigan and demonstrate knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, and governing regulations for nursing care facilities. This full-time role supports Fairlane Senior Care & Rehab's award-winning team of care givers, focusing on resident wellness within Detroit's senior care facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics)
- Current registration status in Michigan
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide nutrition services appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents
- Knowledge of dietary practices and procedures as well the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities
