Job Summary
Registered Dietitian PRN provides nutrition expertise across inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings, including medical nutrition therapy for diabetes and other health conditions, supervision of NFS during Director absence, and development/evaluation of diabetes and outpatient programs. Responsibilities include creating and disseminating educational materials, conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments and care plans, leading group teaching, documenting in medical records, ensuring therapeutic diet components in inpatient menus, coordinating telehealth nutrition consultations, designing performance improvement measures, and ensuring compliance with CMS accreditation and state licensure requirements. Requires RDN credential, active or soon-to-be state licensure, and strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Must be able to perform light physical tasks and work with minimal supervision; English language proficiency required. Required Qualifications
- Degree in dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, institution management, or related science
- Professional registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Completion of a coordinated undergraduate program, internship, or other clinical component approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Registration/Certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or successful passing of the registration exam within three months of hire
- Current state licensure or ability to apply for state licensure within three months of initial hire
