Job Summary
Provide nutritional counseling to clients addressing individual goals and plan and present nutrition-related programs and seminars for members and the community. Develop and maintain the nutritional curriculum while obtaining educational materials, and contribute to marketing efforts for the center and services both within the facility and the community. Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively teach and interact with clients, and be proficient in all core business software related to job duties. Maintain licensure or registration in good standing and meet continuing education requirements, and work towards meeting departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Completion of clinical training that meets the guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- CPR/AED certification
- Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission of Dietetic Registry (CDR)
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) certification (per state and/or federal requirements)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior work experience or an internship in the fitness industry
- Minimum of 2 of years of clinical experience
- Certification in weight management
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor
- Ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members
- Proficient computer skills
