Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and deliver medical nutrition therapy for adult and pediatric patients across primary care and the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. Develop individualized care plans, provide culturally responsive education, and screen for food insecurity while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Document all encounters accurately in the electronic health record and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Float between Capitol Heights and Brandywine locations as required. Greater Baden Medical Services serves over 18,000 patients annually across three counties in Southern Maryland, focusing on underserved populations through integrated primary and specialty care.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure, as applicable
  • Experience providing nutrition services in a clinical or community health setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, chronic disease management, pediatric and adult nutrition, and HIV-related nutrition needs
  • Ability to provide trauma-informed, culturally competent, and patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication, counseling, and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based FQHC environment
  • Commitment to health equity and the mission of community health centers
  • Must be able to float between Greater Baden Medical Services, Inc. Capitol Heights and Brandywine locations as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with underserved populations
  • Experience working within the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or eligibility
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in the service area)
  • Experience addressing food insecurity and social determinants of health
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus but not required
