Registered Dietetic Technician

Coordinate nutritional care of residents in long-term care by completing nutritional observations and reviews, developing and implementing care plans, and documenting dietary information under the supervision of the Registered/Licensed Dietitian. Refer residents to the Dietitian as appropriate per standards and Solaris policies. Visits residents to assess intake and preferences, updates care plans, assesses weight changes, and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings. Responsibilities include completing MDS/CAA’s, documenting nutrition-related notes, promoting liberalized diets, ensuring food safety, and supporting enteral feeding and dialysis recommendations under supervision. Requires registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Florida AHCA background screening. This role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, ongoing education, and adherence to current dietary guidelines and regulatory requirements.
