Job Summary
Evaluate overall oral health by examining the oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease, cancers, sores, bleeding gums, and oral lesions. Document dental history, chief complaints, and patient reactions while reporting pertinent observations to the dental staff. Follow prescribed treatment plans by performing procedures such as prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planing, debridement, Arestin application, fluoride treatments, and protective sealants. Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during patient treatment. This multi-specialty group focuses on periodontal therapies and improving patient oral health.
Required Qualifications
- Full time Dental Hygienist
- Enthusiastic about their dental work
- Willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
- Evaluates overall oral health
- Examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers
- Identifying sores, recessed & bleeding gums, and oral lesions
- Documents dental history or chief complaint
- Records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff
- Documents lab procedures
- Ensures follow up on results
- Follows through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist
- Performing Prophylaxis
- Performing Periodontal Scaling
- Performing Root Planing
- Performing Debridement
- Performing Arestin application
- Performing Application of Fluoride Treatments
- Performing Application of Protective Sealants
- Assisting with or instituting emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients
- Available Mon, Tue, Thursday, Friday: 7.45 - 5PM
- Willing to work 2 days/week
