Job Summary
Assist with oral health management of all patients by verifying identity, obtaining assessments, reviewing medical history, and providing services including prophylaxis, sealant application, and fluoride treatments. Deliver oral health education and counseling to each patient, then document all provided dental services on the patient's chart. Perform daily travel to and from school sites to transform classrooms into fully functional dental offices for preventive and restorative care. Work a school-day schedule from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., ending with the school day, while lifting up to 50 lbs of equipment and navigating stairs where elevators are unavailable.
Required Qualifications
- Active RDH License
- Working experience as a Dental Hygienist
- CPR or BLS certification
- Works well with children
- Ability to work well on a small team and in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to travel within the county
- Ability to lift and carry equipment for set-up and take-down (up to 50 lbs)
- Able to walk up flights of stairs on certain occasions
