Job Summary
Conduct oral health assessments, administer prophylaxis, sealants, and fluoride applications, and provide hygiene education to underserved children at school sites. Verify patient identity, review medical histories, and document all services on charts while assisting the dentist with restorative care. Travel daily between locations across counties, maintaining a team-oriented approach during school-day hours from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. This role supports Big Smiles' mission to deliver preventive dental care to over 500,000 children annually using portable equipment and digital radiography.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold active RDH license
- Working experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Valid driver license
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel to schools across counties
- Works well with others (both children and adults)
- Current CPR (BLS) certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
