Job Summary
Perform direct patient care including medical assessments, periodontal charting, and deep scaling procedures. Administer topical and local anesthetics as directed, apply fluoride solutions and sealants, and manage dental recall systems. Interpret diagnostic radiographs, ensure proper imaging safety techniques, and coordinate with dental assistants for efficient chairside flow. Maintain strict infection control protocols for instrument sterilization and operatory turnover. Provide patient education on oral health prevention and tobacco cessation. Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a minimum of two days per week. Requires current certification in General Dentistry and Periodontology, CPR, and at least six months of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience providing Dental Hygienist services
- Graduate of a school of allied health/technical program (or equivalent)
- Current certification and registration in General Dentistry and Periodontology, as a Dental Hygienist
- Training in dental radiology and radiology safety
- Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- Ability to read, understand, count, fluently speak, and legibly write the English language
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM schedule
- 6 hours per day
- Minimum of two days per week
- Estimated hours: 24 to 60 hours per two-week period
