Job Summary
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, gross debridement, and ultrasonic hand scaling. Take digital dental radiographs and intraoral photographs, complete periodontal and restorative charting, and maintain proper sterilization and infection control procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care while communicating treatment needs clearly with the dental team. Deliver compassionate care to help patients feel comfortable, with a focus on building lasting relationships rather than production quotas. Part-time schedule of 1–2 days per week (Mondays and Thursdays, 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM) with occasional Friday half-days.
Required Qualifications
- Current California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care for patients with dental anxiety
- Professional, ethical, dependable, and team-oriented
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Mondays and Thursdays: 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM
- + Occasional Friday half-days
- Part-time: 1–2 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Previous dental hygiene experience
- Experience using diode lasers
- Familiarity with Dentrix practice management software and Dexis digital imaging
