Job Summary
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing oral examinations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure infection control during all procedures. Assist the dentist during various procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. Operate dental equipment and instruments safely and effectively. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. $55-$65/hour. Medical, Dental, 401k, PTO, Bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols
- Aseptic technique proficiency
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Familiarity in using Dentrix
- Previous experience assisting in dental procedures
