Job Summary
Welcome patients into the treatment area, discuss care plans, and answer questions. Take vital signs, record medical histories, and perform preliminary exams to evaluate gum disease, cavities, and infection. Teach oral hygiene techniques using office protocols, take x-rays, and perform 3D imaging scans. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies. Maintain hygiene rooms with softer, dimmed ambient lighting during patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Current Dental Hygienist licensure
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
- Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
