Job Summary
Conduct patient screenings, oral health assessments, and take vital signs while documenting medical and dental histories. Perform preventative procedures including teeth cleaning, scaling, gum stimulation, and fluoride or sealant applications. Take dental impressions, develop X-rays, and provide oral hygiene instructions regarding nutrition and lifestyle factors. Consult with dentists on treatment planning and assist with restorative and orthodontic procedures under direction. Supervise dental assistants in clinical duties as required. Participate in community and school-based oral health initiatives. Work one weekend day per week in a supportive Calgary-based team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in good standing with Calgary, Alberta
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
- Availability to work one weekend day per week
