Job Summary
Registered Dental Assistant at Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics provides direct patient care across general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry in both the back office and lobby; responsibilities include inventory management, patient safety, adherence to OSHA and infection-control protocols, maintaining digital patient records, educating patients and parents on oral health, assisting with X-rays, preparing tray setups, and supporting the Rodeo team across exam rooms, operatories, and common areas. Key duties also involve charting, updating patient health histories, processing treatment plans, and ensuring high-quality patient experiences in a multi-specialty dental environment. Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE)
- Active CPR and AED training
- Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide preferred
- Annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
- Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
- Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS Certifications are a huge plus
- Bilingual (Spanish) is required
