Job Summary

Manage dental department oversight at the assigned site by proactively managing provider appointment schedules, ensuring templates are correctly applied, and maintaining smooth patient flow. Coordinate site audits between clinical and operations to ensure readiness for OSHA and Delta Dental visits, while overseeing ordering of supplies and maintenance of dental equipment. Take lead of the RDA column, chart findings in note templates, and assist providers with completing treatment within scope. Perform RDA and DA functions daily, including sterilizing equipment and changing barriers, while promoting warm handoffs from Medical to Dental for child wellness exams. Work flexible or extended hours where necessary and collaborate with the Dental Assistant Supervisor on staff development.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Meet all the requirements mandated by the Dental Board of California for obtaining a Registered Dental Assistant license
  • Valid Dental Board of California Registered Dental Assistant license
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid Sealant certification
  • Valid lifesaving certification
  • Minimum 5 years of Registered Dental Assisting experience
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of community health centers mission and role

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
