Job Summary
Registered Dental Assistant support for clinical needs under dentist supervision; duties include chairside patient care, instrument handling, inventory control in operatories, adhering to OSHA/HIPAA/CDC guidelines, scheduling and follow-up communications, basic lab work (impressions, pour models, external labs), adjusting restorations and orthodontic appliances, cementing crowns/bridges, rubber dam placement, arch wire and ligature wire management, and miscellaneous duties. Requires ability to work in a fast-paced dental practice, evenings/weekends as needed, and possession of NJ RDA license with X-ray certification and CPR; licensure and certifications may be pursued if not already held.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately required
- X-ray License required
- Current NJ Registered Dental Assistant license
- Active CPR Certification
- 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant
- Certified Dental Assistant certificate preferred
- Registered Dental Assistant license preferred
